Ok, I’m a junior at a private high school in West coast of US, and I’m asking if whether this looks good on my college application! I am aiming towards Tier 1 schools like Ivy and or anything relevant to that case
Here I go:
GPA (Around 3.7)
I’m going into my junior yr
so this year, I have 4 Honors and 2 APs. Aiming for 6 APs senior year.
4 Years of Language (Taking my 4th year this year as Junior)
- I’m taking Spanish
I played Piano for 9 years
- casually
Played Clarinet for 6 years
- casually, was going to go competitively
I’m an officer for the Key Club
- new officer this year, total :2 years
I participated in Chess Club for 5 years
- My U1500 team got 2nd place in wisconsin Nationals (so 2nd in the nation)
- we are nationally ranked
- also 10th place in the nation for Bughouse ( a variant) 1 year
Football:
2 years JV
1 year Varsity
Doing another year senior year
Community Service-
-Worked in an university hospital in the radio. department
-worked in school day camp
-worked in asthma camp as a counselor
-went to Costa Rica to help the needy and rebuild a town near mt. arenal
-Total Hrs; 420 hours
Presidency:
I was 9th grade VP
i am VP of the student council (the school)
going to do peer counseling this year
Things I am aiming to do this year:
Newspaper for school
mock trial
math team
Other:
went to CTY in middle school
went to Stanford for Java and Robotics Program in the summer
Kumon? J Level 5th grade

yeah. you should get recommendations too. they always look good on an application.
If you do well on your SAT/ACT and your AP classes and keep up your grades and (everything you are doing which is excellent) you will probably have multiple acceptances to the top universities.
Remember balance is key.
Wow! I’ve been in a community college for two semesters, working on my third, and I don’t have half the amazing things you do. Keep up your GPA through the end of high school and it looks like you have a great application! I also suggest applying for scholarships and grants, even if you don’t necessarily need the money, it’ll be cash you can save for a house or car later. Your hard work will really pay off soon! Way to go!
